Ok,since this section is new I thought I'd step in and ask Do any of you have a strong opinion on the overall sound of your snare? I am an older guy but I love HIGH pitch snares.I am sick and tired of butt rock muffled flat sounding snares.I know they have their place but I want to feel young:)

Yeah, I'm with you man......I use an LP piccolo myself, although I also trigger my kit, so getting that fat arena rock snare is also possible. But I do like a nice crisp, high pitch snare. Makes for more detailed "grace" note, and for me, more dynamic control. I'm an older guy also, so maybe that has something to do with it.
